We believe in more than just creating clothing. We believe in fostering meaningful connections, embracing cultural diversity, and making a positive impact on the communities we work with. That's why our recent trip to Bangladesh in 2023 was not just a production excursion—it was a journey of discovery, collaboration, and shared experiences. Our team is family.

Connecting with Our Team:

During our trip to Bangladesh, we had the incredible opportunity to stay with our production team in their homes. This immersive experience allowed us to forge deeper connections with the people behind our garments, gaining insight into their daily lives, traditions, and aspirations. From sharing meals with their families to participating in local festivities, we immersed ourselves in the rich tapestry of Bangladeshi culture, building bonds that transcend borders and business.

One memorable night, we found ourselves sitting up until 1 am, laughing with Homaira and her family—our on-ground manager—over steaming cups of tea. We even found ourselves arm wrestling at the dinner table before dinner, a light-hearted moment amidst the bustling chaos of the day. Our journeys to remote production sites were adventures in themselves, with long, winding trips through busy traffic out to the countryside. We'll never forget the 16-hour ride in a tuk-tuk on the craziest roads, where unexpected encounters with goats on our deck in the middle of the night had us mistaking them for intruders—thankfully, with the vigilant presence of security and armed guards, we never had to worry about a thing.

We also took a trip out to the country and spent the day with all their family and cousins this was such a beautiful experience as we went house to house eating watermelon, fresh yoghurt copious amounts of sweet honey tea and being treated like royalty (whilst wearing jeggings and oversized tie dye tees) but that's a whole other blog post.

Collaborating on New Garments:

Beyond cultural exchange, our trip to Bangladesh was also a valuable opportunity for collaboration and innovation. Working closely with our skilled artisans and craftsmen, we co-created new garments that blend traditional techniques with contemporary designs. From intricate embroidery to handcrafted details, each piece tells a story of craftsmanship, creativity, and collaboration. By collaborating directly with our production team, we ensure that every garment we create reflects our shared values of quality, sustainability, and ethical production.

Embracing Sustainability:

Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do, and our trip to Bangladesh was no exception. From sourcing eco-friendly materials to implementing ethical manufacturing practices, we're committed to minimising our environmental footprint and promoting positive social impact. Our production house in Bangladesh is not just a facility—it's a home for our beautiful team, who are just as passionate about premium blanks and sustainable fabrics as we are. They're helping us develop new natural dyes and sourcing fair-trade premium cotton, ensuring that every step of the production process upholds our commitment to sustainability and quality.

Celebrating Diversity:

Bangladesh is a country rich in diversity, with vibrant cultures, languages, and traditions woven into its fabric. Our trip was a celebration of this diversity, a reminder of the beauty and resilience of the human spirit. By embracing diversity and inclusivity in everything we do, we strive to create a fashion community that is welcoming, inclusive, and reflective of the world we live in. Oh and Bangalis literally have the best sense of humour.

Looking Ahead:

As we reflect on our journey to Bangladesh, we're filled with gratitude for the connections we've made, the memories we've shared, and the impact we've had. Moving forward, we remain committed to building on these experiences, fostering even deeper connections with our global community, and continuing to create clothing that not only looks good but also does good.
