How the Average Wage is Calculated

The average wage shown is calculated by dividing the total wages paid during the payroll period by the number of team members paid that month.

This figure includes production, supervisory, and management roles. We share production wage ranges alongside this average to provide clear context and avoid relying on a single number.

What Our Wages Include

In addition to base wages, our team receives:

  • Stable, year-round employment
  • Paid leave in line with local requirements
  • Overtime paid at agreed rates when required
  • Supportive working environments
  • Pay advancements provided when needed to support personal or family circumstances

Wages are paid directly and reviewed regularly to reflect role, experience, and responsibility.

Are These Wages Ethical and Sustainable?

Based on our internal payroll data, wages paid at our Bangladesh production unit sit above typical local garment factory wage standards. Combined with stable employment, paid leave, and additional support such as pay advancements, we believe this represents a sustainable and ethical approach to garment production within the local context.

Ethical wages are not defined by a single global number. They must be considered alongside cost of living, employment stability, working conditions, and long-term opportunities — all of which we prioritise across our production units.

Why We Share Wages This Way

We believe transparency should be meaningful, not performative. By sharing wage ranges, averages, and clear explanations of how figures are calculated, we aim to provide honest insight while respecting the privacy and safety of our team.

Currency conversions are not shown, as exchange rates and cost-of-living differences can be misleading. All wages are shared in local currency for accuracy and context.
